Queens Park Rangers midfielder Alejandro Faurlin has had successful surgery on an anterior cruciate ligament injury and will now recover in Barcelona.
The 27-year-old ruptured his ACL earlier this month in a Championship match against Derby County and is out for the rest of the season at the very least.

Dr Peter Florida, head of medical at QPR, told the club's official website: "He really appreciates all the messages he has received from the fans and his teammates.
"It has really helped to lift him. He was obviously very upset immediately afterwards but his spirits are much better now.
"His knee is obviously still a bit sore but he is doing well. He will be staying out [in Spain] for a few weeks."
Rangers teammate Joey Barton celebrated his goal in their recent draw at Reading by holding up a shirt with Faurlin's name and number on it.
