Ryan Nelsen has urged his Queens Park Rangers teammates to concentrate on their own performances during the club's ongoing relegation battle.
The R's are currently bottom of the Premier League table and are without a win so far this season.
However, rather than hoping that their rivals drop points, Nelsen has insisted that the club's fortunes are in the hands of the playing squad.
"We can't worry about what other teams are doing, we've just got to concentrate on ourselves," Nelsen told the club's official website.
"We've got to go on a run now, try to get wins, try to get points and after 38 games see where we are.
"QPR is going to be a fantastic club. There's great vision here but the players have to look at things a bit more short-term."
Next up for Harry Redknapp's side is a home clash with Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon.
