Queens Park Rangers have given Sebastien Bassong a chance to try to earn a return to English football.
Bassong has spent a large period of his career in the Premier League and Championship, with over 200 appearances being made for the likes of Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The 32-year-old has been without a club since being released by Norwich City in May 2017, but the Cameroon international has been given an opportunity by QPR.
The London outfit can only sign players on free transfers and loan deals, and boss Steve McClaren has invited Bassong to regain his match sharpness and fitness in training and with the second-string setup.
QPR will look to strengthen before the end of the month after beginning the season with three successive defeats.
