Half-Time Report: Reading in charge against Doncaster Rovers

Goals from Danny Guthrie and Adam Le Fondre give Reading a 2-1 half-time lead over Doncaster Rovers.

Reading lead Doncaster Rover 2-1 at half-time at the Madejski Stadium.

Danny Guthrie gave Reading the lead before Theo Robinson equalised for the away side. Adam Le Fondre restored the advantage for Reading to give them a deserved lead at half time.

The home side started on the front foot with Jordan Obita and Garath McCleary both having early shots from range.

Reading did not have to wait long to take the lead as Guthrie scored from the edge of the box with a right-footed effort that flew into the top corner, after being teed up by Pavel Pogrebnyak.

Moments later Obita forced Doncaster's Ross Turnbull into a save from close range after the cut-back from Adam Le Fondre.

Doncaster drew level when Mark Duffy's free kick was saved by Adam Federici but substitute Robinson, who earlier replaced Dean Furman, pounced to equalise.

Reading re-took the lead five minutes before half time when Le Fondre coolly finished after a McCleary run and pass.
