The Argentina international stayed back in Madrid to witness his child's birth and arrived in Dortmund a little earlier today.
The 25-year-old went straight to his team's hotel that is situated just 10 minutes from Dortmund's Signal Iduna Park which will host tonight's game.
Madrid failed to win either of their group stage games against Dortmund earlier this season.
