Jakub Blaszczykowski hails "outstanding" Champions League campaign

Jakub Błaszczykowski urges the Borussia Dortmund supporters to be at their loudest when they host Real Madrid on Wednesday.

Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jakub Blaszczykowski has said that his side's progress to the Champions League semi-finals this season has been "outstanding".

The 27-year-old is also confident that they will get the better of Real Madrid in the last four and reach the final.

"What we have achieved so far has been outstanding," he told reporters on Tuesday. "We are undefeated in the Champions League and hope to maintain that run until the end.

"We played Madrid in the group stage and won 2-1. That was a great game. Then we went to Madrid and put in one of our greatest performances.

"I have been here for six years and I know our supporters will be fully behind us tomorrow because here in Dortmund, BVB is more important than anything else."

Dortmund will host Madrid in the first leg on Wednesday.
