Real Madrid playmaker Mesut Ozil says that the team are fully focused on reaching the Champions League final.

Real Madrid playmaker Mesut Ozil has insisted that the side are firmly focused ahead of their Champions League semi-final with Borussia Dortmund tonight.

The Spanish side travel to the Signal Iduna Park for the first leg of the tie and the German international has said that the team are all geared towards reaching the final at Wembley next month.

"The most important thing is that we do our best to try and reach the final," Ozil told reporters ahead of the game.

"I have been with Real Madrid for three years now and it is the third time we are in the semis. Is this my best season? I'm glad to be scoring goals and for my form but the important thing is that we function as a team.

"We have to give a good image of ourselves and work as a team. Scoring goals is not as important to me."

The competition's other semi-final first leg was contested on Tuesday evening, with Bayern Munich running out 4-0 winners against Barcelona at the Allianz Arena.
