Vicente del Bosque wins FIFA coach of the year

Vicente del Bosque is named FIFA coach of the year at the Ballon d'Or awards ceremony in Zurich.

Spain head coach Vicente del Bosque has beaten off competition from Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho to be named the FIFA Coach of the Year.

The 62-year-old led his country to their third-successive major title last summer, and second under his stewardship.

The honour is his third individual award this year, after being named World Manager of the Year and IFFHS World's Best National Coach.
