Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has called his potential new club manager Rafael Benitez "a great coach".
Benitez arrived in Madrid on Monday afternoon to officially discuss becoming the new head coach at the Bernabeu.
Ramos was questioned on the decision while on international duty with Spain and he talked about the former Napoli manager in a positive light.
"You know more than me. He's a great coach. Whenever a coach with plenty of experience arrives then that is a positive move," Ramos has been quoted as saying by AS.
"The change of coach? I'm not the best person to comment on this, you should discuss this with the members of the board, they are the experts on this subject matter."
Benitez is expected to be unveiled as the new Real Madrid boss on Wednesday.
