Cristiano Ronaldo has acknowledged that Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has had a significant impact on his career.
Just weeks after Zidane's first spell at the Bernabeu came to an end last summer, Ronaldo made the decision to conclude his own illustrious period by opting to join Juventus.
However, with Zidane now back at the helm at Los Blancos, Ronaldo has revealed his 'admiration' for the Frenchman having worked under him between 2016 and 2018.
The 34-year-old told DAZN: "Zidane helped me a lot. I already respected him for his career, but working with him made me admire him even more for his way of being, of speaking and for the way he treated me.
"The confidence that a player needs does not depend almost on him, but on the people around him, other players and the coach."
The pair helped Real win three consecutive Champions League trophies during their time at the Spanish giants.
