Cristiano Ronaldo ruled out of Celta Vigo match

Cristiano Ronaldo will miss Real Madrid's La Liga clash against Celta Vigo on Sunday.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has said that Cristiano Ronaldo will not feature in tomorrow's La Liga clash against Celta Vigo.

The Portuguese limped out of the 1-1 draw with Real Valladolid on Wednesday, with tests revealing that the attacker had suffered a hamstring strain.

As a result, Los Blancos' leading scorer will not feature in Vigo, while Ancelotti has also revealed that Raphael Varane, Pepe, Angel di Maria and Dani Carvajal are also unavailable.

"Cristiano will not play tomorrow. If it were a final tomorrow I would play him but it isn't. I will try to play him against Espanyol next week," Ancelotti told reporters.

"Varane, Pepe, Di Maria and Carvajal will also not play. We are still going to do our best because mathematically anything can happen. We will put a team out to try to win."

If Atletico Madrid beat Malaga on Sunday then Real Madrid's title challenge will be over.
