The buildup to the summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Real Madrid eye possible reinforcements.
Florentino Perez oversaw a significant overhaul of his squad during the summer before focusing more on youth in January. As is always the case with Madrid, though, some of the biggest names in football continue to be linked.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news of possible comings and goings at the Bernabeu.
Monday morning's Real Madrid transfer talk news roundup:
Dani Ceballos 'to ask Real Madrid for Arsenal stay'
Dani Ceballos will reportedly speak with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez about the possibility of staying at Arsenal for the 2020-21 campaign.
The midfielder's existing loan deal at the Emirates Stadium is due to expire next month and as it stands, he will be back at the Bernabeu for the start of next season.
The 23-year-old is allegedly not in the plans of Los Blancos head coach Zinedine Zidane, though, and there has been a host of speculation surrounding the midfielder's future in recent weeks.
According to El Confidencial, Ceballos will ask Madrid to extend his loan at Arsenal for another season as he is keen to secure regular football ahead of next summer's European championships.
The report claims that the La Liga champions would rather sell the Spain international this summer but another loan with an option to buy could potentially be agreed.
The former Real Betis youngster has scored twice and provided two assists in 34 appearances for Mikel Arteta's side since arriving last July.
Kai Havertz 'very interested in Chelsea move'
Bayer Leverkusen attacker Kai Havertz is "very interested" in joining Chelsea during this summer's transfer window, according to Bleacher Report journalist Dean Jones.
Havertz's future remains the subject of much speculation, with the 20-year-old expected to leave BayArena this summer in search of pastures new.
Manchester United and Real Madrid have both been linked with the Germany international, but Chelsea are seemingly in pole position to secure his signature.
"He is interested, very interested actually. He really wants to push himself and Leverkusen are pretty surprised at how focused he is on finding a new club," Jones said in an interview with talkchelsea.
"He definitely wants Champions League football though so we will have to wait on that situation to be decided before knowing much more. If he joins then I'm not sure what the future holds for [Callum] Hudson-Odoi at Chelsea."
Havertz enjoyed an excellent 2019-20 campaign for his German club, scoring 17 times and registering nine assists in 43 appearances in all competitions.
Chelsea, who will face Arsenal in the FA Cup final on August 1, have already boosted their attack ahead of the 2020-21 campaign with the signings of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner.
