Real Madrid are allegedly ready to hand Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe a signing bonus of £85.5m to move to Bernabeu on a free transfer this summer.

Real Madrid are reportedly ready to hand Kylian Mbappe a signing bonus of €100m (£85.5m), but the Paris Saint-Germain attacker will have to reduce his wages in order to make the move to Bernabeu.

The France international has allegedly decided to bring an end to his PSG contract this summer in order to join Real Madrid on a free transfer.

Mbappe is reportedly yet to communicate his decision to his French club, but an announcement from the 25-year-old could potentially arrive over the next couple of weeks.

Le Parisien reported on Saturday evening that the Frenchman had finally made his mind up over his future, with Real Madrid set to sign one of the world's best players on a free transfer.

However, according to the Daily Mail, the deal will still be huge in terms of finances, with Real Madrid expected to hand him a signing-on fee of €100m (£85.5m).

The report claims that Los Blancos are not prepared to ruin their wage structure in order to bring in Mbappe, so the forward will have to accept a significant drop on his current pay packet.

The World Cup winner will become the club's top earner ahead of Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham if he arrives this summer, but his salary will drop from the €25m (£21.4m) net a year he currently picks up in Paris.

Real Madrid would allegedly be willing to allow Mbappe to receive a 60/40 split in his favour in terms of image rights, which would further increase the attacker's earning power at the club.

Mbappe has made 288 appearances for PSG in all competitions since his arrival from Monaco, scoring 241 goals and registering 105 assists in the process.

The attacker has again been in excellent form for his club this season, scoring 29 goals and registering seven assists in 28 appearances in all competitions.

Mbappe was thought to be heading for Real Madrid on a free transfer in the summer of 2022, but he ultimately decided to sign a new contract at PSG.

The ex-Monaco youngster can end his deal in the French capital this summer, though, and he is now expected to finally complete a move to the Spanish giants.

Mbappe has won five Ligue 1 titles during his time at PSG and is chasing a sixth crown this term, while he will be bidding to help the club win the Champions League, with Luis Enrique's team set to take on Real Sociedad in the last-16 stage of the competition.
