Real Madrid are reportedly contemplating whether to make a summer approach for Juventus forward Federico Chiesa.
Los Blancos are known to hold long-standing interests in the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Erling Braut Haaland, two players who may become available next year.
However, club officials and manager Carlo Ancelotti are in a position where they need to identify alternatives to the high-profile pair.
According to Fichajes, Chiesa is also on their radar with the Italy international having impressed for club and country over the past 12 months.
As well as establishing himself as a key member of Juventus' starting lineup, the 23-year-old helped Italy win Euro 2020 during the summer.
Juventus are likely to reject any approach for the versatile playmaker with the Italian giants due to push through a permanent transfer for the player at the end of the season.
