Real Madrid have reportedly decided against moving for a new centre-forward when this summer's transfer window opens for business.
A number of Madrid's first-team players have underperformed this season, but Karim Benzema has been in outstanding form for the club, contributing 26 goals and 10 assists in 48 appearances in all competitions.
According to AS, Benzema's form this term has led to Los Blancos shelving plans to move for a new striker, having previously been linked with Bayern Munich's Robert Lewandowski and Inter Milan's Mauro Icardi.
Los Blancos are still expected to press ahead with their plans to sign Eden Hazard this summer.
However, it has been reported that the European champions are not prepared to meet Chelsea's £100m asking price for the Belgium international, who might have to force a move to Spain.
Madrid have already secured the services of Eder Militao ahead of this summer's transfer window, with the 21-year-old centre-back due to arrive from Porto.
