Alvaro Arbeloa sends support to Spain

Real Madrid defender Alvaro Arbeloa takes to Twitter to wish Spain good luck for the World Cup this summer.

Real Madrid defender Alvaro Arbeloa has taken to Twitter to wish Spain luck in the World Cup this summer.

The full-back was a surprise omission when Vicente del Bosque named his 30-man squad earlier this afternoon, but he has insisted that there is no ill feeling.

"Thank you very much for all the messages of support! A beautiful era for me comes to an end and now all I wish is all the luck in the world to the squad and my companions. Come back with another star on your chest!" Inside Spanish Football quotes a tweet from the defender as saying.

Arbeloa, 31, won the European Cup with La Roja in 2008 and 2012, as well as the World Cup in 2010, but has struggled with injuries in the second half of this season.
