Roma's top-of-the-table clash with Napoli in Serie A next weekend has been salvaged after the two clubs agreed to move the match back 24 hours, with the fixture now set for Friday, October 18.
Napoli were due to travel to the Stadio Olimpico on October 19, but a planned protest in the Italian capital over the construction of a high-speed railway line means that police resources need to be diverted elsewhere.
Originally the match looked likely to be postponed, but Rome police have struck an agreement to play the fixture on the Friday night.
Both sides have made a fine start to Serie A, with Roma enjoying their best-ever opening to a league campaign with seven successive wins.
Napoli are also unbeaten and sit just two points behind Roma in second place with 19 points from a possible 21 under new coach Rafael Benitez.
