Roma are reportedly weighing up a move for Palermo striker Abel Hernandez after allowing Pablo Osvaldo to leave last weekend.
Osvaldo was Roma's top scorer in Serie A last season with 16 goals, just ahead of Erik Lamela's tally of 15 from a wide position.
Lamela has also been consistently linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks, forcing new Roma coach Rudi Garcia to consider alternatives in the final third.
Garcia has now turned his attention to Uruguay international Hernandez and is weighing up a £5m move for the versatile forward, according to Sport Mediaset.
Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has stubbornly refused to consider selling Hernandez so far this summer, despite dropping down to Serie B.
The 23-year-old has been at Palermo since 2009, while also scoring seven times in 10 appearances for Uruguay.
