Scotland defender Christophe Berra has told fans to blame the players and not manager Craig Levein for Friday's defeat to Wales.
Despite leading in their World Cup qualifier at the Cardiff City Stadium, the Tartan Army eventually went down 2-1 to leave them with two points from three games.
"It's got nothing to do with the manager – we are the ones who go out on the pitch," Berra told The Telegraph.
"We played well, we just maybe ran out of steam a bit. A penalty and a 25-yard strike lost us the game. At top level football, it's the flip of a coin sometimes. We didn't have the luck."
The Scots have the chance to make amends for the loss when they visit Group A leaders Belgium on Tuesday.
