Carlos Carvalhal has targeted promotion to the Premier League with Sheffield Wednesday this season in order to "wake the giant".
The Owls have spent the past 15 years outside the top flight but remain on course to challenge for a playoff place this term.
Since taking over in the summer, Carvalhal has managed to slowly put his spin on things by racking up four wins on the bounce in all competitions.
Having guided Wednesday into a credible 10th place in the Championship and into the last 16 of the League Cup, the Portuguese says that he has fallen in love with the second-tier outfit.
"The club and the fans are fantastic," he told The Star. "I want to wake the giant. We have a lot of games, so I can say that I am married to Sheffield Wednesday because I live with Sheffield Wednesday from morning to night. And I sleep with Sheffield Wednesday at night."
Wednesday will look to prolong their unbeaten run when they play host to Hull City following the international break.
