Sheffield Wednesday are close to completing the signing of left-back Rhoys Wiggins from Championship rivals Charlton Athletic.
According to The Sheffield Star, a fee of £750,000 has been agreed between the two clubs, although the 27-year-old is yet to undergo a medical.
Wiggins moved to the Addicks from Bournemouth in 2011, and was named in the PFA League One Team of the Year the following season after helping Charlton win promotion.
Since then injuries have hampered his development and he has slipped down the pecking order at The Valley.
The Owls, who kick off the Championship campaign by hosting Bristol City, are short of cover at left-back following the injury to Claude Dielna.
