Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas reaffirms his commitment to the club.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Andre Villas-Boas has downplayed reports that he could be on his way to Real Madrid.

The Spurs boss has been tipped as a potential replacement for Jose Mourinho should the former Chelsea manager leave his post with the Spanish club this summer.

However, Villas-Boas has insisted that he is determined to honour his contract at White Hart Lane and is planning on being there next season.

"The fact [Mourinho] made it public that he is looking for an exit has ended up with a lot of speculation," Sky Sports News quotes Villas-Boas as saying.

"It's very flattering but I think at the moment everybody is being linked with the Real Madrid job, because there are now lots of coaches around. For me it is always an honour but I am completely focused. I have a contract, I was given an opportunity, and I was extremely grateful.

"It's different. At the moment I am very, very focused on trying to get another year at one club, the same club! When everybody signs a contract you are expected to do it until the end."

Former Porto boss Villas-Boas went on to say that he still holds ambitions to manage in Brazil at some point in the future.
