Swansea City loanee Steven Caulker has revealed that he would be happy to return to Wales next season should it bring him the regular football he desires.
The central defender moved to the Liberty Stadium in the summer on a temporary one-year deal from parent club Tottenham Hotspur.
While he is hopeful of breaking into the Spurs squad in the near future, Caulker acknowledges that the competition for places at White Hart Lane is fierce.
Should this result in him not playing on a regular basis, the 20-year-old admits that he would have no issues staying with the Swans for a further season.
"I'm loving it here. I've been here for nearly eight months and what I have learned in that time is frightening," said Caulker.
"My aim for next season is simple. I just want to play football. Where that will be remains to be seen.
"I will have to sit down in the summer and talk over my options with Tottenham. However, if I had the chance to come back, I would be more than happy."
Caulker has made 17 appearances for Brendan Rodgers's side this campaign.
