Michael Dawson warns his Tottenham teammates that they will have to "fight" to earn Champions League qualification next season.

Tottenham Hotspur captain Michael Dawson has warned his teammates that they will have to "fight" to earn Champions League qualification next season.

Spurs have narrowly missed out on Europe's elite club competition for the past two campaigns.

"We missed out on the Champions League last season, so our aim at the start of this campaign is to make sure we are in it next year," Goal.com quotes Dawson as saying.

"We have to fight for that. Everyone wants to be in the top four and back in the Champions League."

Tottenham will start the new Premier League campaign at Crystal Palace on August 18.
