Tottenham Hotspur's Michael Dawson hails "massive" win

Michael Dawson is pleased with how Tottenham Hotspur have bounced back from their 6-0 defeat at Manchester City last month.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Michael Dawson believes that his side have shown their "togetherness" with back-to-back wins in the Premier League.

Andre Villas-Boas's team suffered a 6-0 defeat at Manchester City on November 24, but since then they have drawn with Manchester United and defeated Fulham and Sunderland in the league.

"It was massive, we have had a big game at Fulham and a big game today [against Sunderland] and two big results," he told Sky Sports News. "It shows the togetherness of this squad to come back from the disappointment at Man City.

"When you lose 6-0, it's not good but we have shown a real character to come back. We got a lot of criticism that we don't score enough goals but with the quality we have in the dressing room we will always score and we should have had more goals today.

"Nothing has changed in our belief since that defeat to City, we still believe we are going to have a good season, we still believe we can finish in the Champions League places."

Tottenham are currently sixth in the league table with 27 points from 15 matches.
