Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has claimed that he and his teammates hope to be in contention for the Premier League title come May.
The North London club finished third and second respectively in the last two seasons, while Kane picked up back-to-back Golden Boot awards.
As it stands, Mauricio Pochettino's men are third in the table, level on points with second-placed Manchester United and five adrift of leaders Manchester City.
"We've been title contenders the last two years now and we have been very close," Kane told Sky Sports News. "Manchester City are out at front at the minute but there is a long way to go.
"We are a team that not many people talk about at the start, but we are there and we will be there, hopefully, for the rest of the season and then we will see what happens."
Spurs stretched their unbeaten league run to seven games on Sunday when they thrashed Liverpool 4-1 at Wembley.
