Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been told by Nuno Espirito Santo to "get ready and help the team" after Sunday's 1-0 victory over Manchester City.
The England skipper only returned to full training with the team on Friday and was left out of the squad to face the champions as he builds up his match fitness.
Spurs did not need Kane to claim a memorable win over the champions, as Son Heung-min curled in a delightful winner in the 55th minute, and Santo has said that his side are "very lucky" to have the Englishman on the books.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Santo said: "Look, Harry Kane is one of the best players in the world, honestly. We are very lucky to have him. He has to get ready and help the team. We still have to go to Portugal then we think about Wolves."
Santo and Son both paid tribute to the returning Spurs fans following Sunday's win, and the Lilywhites now face Pacos de Ferreira in the Europa Conference League in midweek.
