Tim Sherwood has insisted that he has not been in contact with Brighton & Hove Albion over their managerial vacancy, but he is willing to hold talks with any club that is interested in his services.
The 45-year-old was sacked by Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday after just five months in charge at White Hart Lane.
When asked about being offered a return to management with the Seagulls, Sherwood told talkSPORT: "I have not spoken [to them]. I have not been offered the job.
"I've heard a lot of rumours, but I'm happy to speak to any clubs. I want to stay in management.
"I want to see if the club suits me. What I don't want to do is go into a situation where in five months' time I'm out of a job again."
Brighton are looking for a new boss following the resignation of Oscar Garcia last week.
