Michael Dawson: 'Tottenham Hotspur should be patient with Mauricio Pcohettino'

Michael Dawson believes that Tottenham Hotspur should stand by manager Mauricio Pochettino following an indifferent start to the season.

Michael Dawson has called on Tottenham Hotspur to give Mauricio Pochettino time at White Hart Lane following an indifferent start to the season.

The North London outfit have won just twice in their last nine Premier League games to pile pressure on Pochettino, who moved to Spurs in the summer following a season at Southampton.

Despite the Argentine sanctioning Dawson's move to Hull City in the summer, the defender believes that the manager should be given a chance to get things right.

"They have to be patient," Dawson told The Express. "It takes time when you bring in a manager and he brings different players in. He will have a different style of football.

"There are high expectations at Spurs and it comes with a lot of pressure. You have to be able to live that."

Dawson played more than 300 games during a nine-year spell at Tottenham.
