Emmanuel Adebayor "can't wait" for Tottenham Hotspur pre-season return

Emmanuel Adebayor says that he is "looking forward" to proving a point to Tottenham Hotspur supporters next season, after essentially ruling out a move away from the club.

Emmanuel Adebayor has reiterated that he does not expect to leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer, insisting that he is "looking forward" to the new campaign.

The Togo international was restricted to just 17 appearances in all competitions for Spurs last time out, which led to speculation linking him with a move away from White Hart Lane.

Having already claimed that he is "very happy" at Tottenham, Adebayor has now taken to social media to further commit himself to the North London outfit.

"Feeling really fresh after my goal," he posted on Instagram following his strike against Liberia earlier this week. "Can't wait to come back to Tottenham and show everyone the passion I have for the club. Looking forward to pre season!"

Despite scoring a key goal for Togo this week, Adebayor has hinted that he may call time on his international career after being stripped of the captaincy.
