Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane reportedly 'abandons' his plans to secure an exit from the club following Antonio Conte's appointment as the club's new head coach.

Harry Kane has reportedly performed a U-turn over his Tottenham Hotspur future following the arrival of Antonio Conte as the club's new manager.

The England captain was widely expected to complete a move to Manchester City in the most recent transfer window, but Daniel Levy refused to budge on his £150m asking price.

As a result, Kane ended up confirming his decision to remain at Tottenham on social media, but the team's poor fortunes under Nuno Espirito Santo saw speculation over his future once again gather pace.

However, The Sun now claims that Kane will 'abandon' his bid to seek an exit from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium due to his 'delight' at Conte's appointment.

The report adds that Kane is confident in Conte's ability to help Spurs challenge for trophies, and the rest of the Lilywhites squad share the striker's optimism over the Premier League and Scudetto winner's appointment.

Kane has seven goals to boast from 14 appearances in all competitions so far this term, but only one of those strikes has come in the Premier League.
