Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly matched Everton's £30m bid for Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
Earlier tonight, it was claimed that Sissoko was en route to Everton's training ground ahead of joining the Toffees, who had matched Newcastle's valuation of the France international.
However, according to Sky Sports News, Spurs have now launched a £30m move of their own and Sissoko could head for the English capital as the London club look to get the deal signed off before Wednesday's 11pm deadline.
Sissoko, 27, made 39 appearances last season as Newcastle were relegated to the Championship. The Magpies had previously slapped a £40m asking price on the head of the Frenchman.
It is thought that the offer of Champions League football could convince Sissoko to turn down Everton for a move to White Hart Lane.
