Danny Rose not alone with Tottenham Hotspur frustrations?

Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose is reportedly not alone with his criticism of the club's transfer policy and wage structure.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose is reportedly not alone with his frustrations at the club's stringent wage structure and transfer policy.

The 27-year-old hit the headlines today for a revealing interview with The Sun in which he criticised the club for their lack of activity in the transfer market and pursuing targets "you have to Google".

Rose, the longest-serving member of the current squad at 10 years, also pointed to problems with chairman Daniel Levy's tough stance on wages, which sees top players Harry Kane and Hugo Lloris earn around £100,000 a week.

Those wages are dwarfed by the salaries on offer at rival top-six clubs, with Sergio Aguero earning £240,000 a week at Manchester City, Chelsea's Eden Hazard pocketing £200,000 and Liverpool maestro Philippe Coutinho taking home £150,000.

According to the Evening Standard, several other senior players at Spurs have grown "perplexed" with Levy's wage ceiling after Javier Hernandez joined West Ham United on a £140,000-a-week deal this summer and it emerged that Christian Benteke is on £120,000 a week at Crystal Palace.

The side, which finished second in the Premier League last term, are currently in talks with Dele Alli and Toby Alderweireld over extensions to their respective £50,000-a-week deals.
