Tottenham Hotspur have announced the signing of striker Roberto Soldado from Valencia after the Spaniard passed his medical.
The 28-year-old signs for a club-record fee believed to be in the region of €30m (£26m).
A statement on the club's official website said that the Spain international should make his first appearance for Tottenham in Saturday's pre-season friendly against Espanyol.
Soldado has been placed in the top 10 with the bookies to be the top scorer in the Premier League this season, at odds of around 20/1.
