Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly increasingly confident of signing Swansea City defender Joe Rodon.
The Premier League outfit saw a bid for the 22-year-old rejected on international deadline day, but still have until the domestic deadline on October 16 to come to terms with Swansea over a deal.
Swansea are thought to want in excess of £15m for their academy product, and Football Insider claims that the two clubs have made a breakthrough in negotiations over recent days.
Spurs are reportedly willing to structure the deal in a number of different ways, including a cash-only option, a player-plus-cash approach or an agreement which would see Rodon loaned back to Swansea.
Jose Mourinho is keen to bolster his defensive ranks this summer, having missed out on Milan Skriniar and Antonio Rudiger towards the end of the international transfer window.
Tottenham have until 5pm on Friday to complete a deal for Rodon, although Leicester City and West Ham United are also thought to be interested in the Wales international.
