Tottenham Hotspur want Ricardo Pereira to replace Kyle Walker?

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly make Porto full-back Ricardo Pereira one of their primary transfer targets as they look for possible replacements for Kyle Walker.

Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on Porto full-back Ricardo Pereira as a possible replacement for Kyle Walker this summer, according to reports.

Walker has been strongly linked with a £40m move to Premier League rivals Manchester City following reports of a fallout with manager Mauricio Pochettino towards the end of the 2016-17 campaign.

As a result, Pochettino has begun his search for alternatives to provide competition for Kieran Trippier, and The Telegraph reports that Ricardo is now at the top of their list.

The 23-year-old has spent the last two seasons on loan at Nice, where he has made 57 appearances and established himself as a key member of the team which finished third in Ligue 1 last season.

It is thought that Porto would be open to bids of around £20m for the Portugal international, but Spurs are expected to face competition from the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

Ricardo is able to play as a wing-back and on the left side of defence in addition to his primary role as right-back.
