Stoke City striker Peter Crouch has claimed that a draw was a fair result from his side's Premier League clash with Leicester City this afternoon.
Crouch came off the bench to rescue a point for his side at the bet365 Stadium after goals from Vicente Iborra and Riyad Mahrez either side of a Xherdan Shaqiri strike had set Leicester on course for a second consecutive win under new manager Claude Puel.
The result lifts the Potters four points clear of the relegation zone, and Crouch believes that it could prove to be an important draw in their season.
"A fair result, chances for either side to win it. It would be nice to be starting and scoring goals but that's the way things are going for me. So I have to come on and make an impact and try and get in the starting XI," he told Sky Sports News.
"It was an important point, the last couple of weeks having Ryan [Shawcross] back has helped in defence, we have been dogged."
No Stoke player has scored more Premier League goals for the club than Crouch this season, although all three of his have come off the bench.
