Robert Huth believes that it will be "incredibly tough" for his Stoke City side to claim all three points from their trip to Manchester City tomorrow evening.
City currently top the Premier League table with 41 points from 16 games, while Stoke sit in eighth place.
Despite being part of a team that has won four successive matches in the league, German defender Huth feels that recording a victory will be difficult for the Potters.
"It's been a great few weeks for us in terms of picking up points and progressing in Europe, but we know that Wednesday night will be incredibly tough for us," he told the club's official website.
"They are one of the best sides in the country, if not Europe, so we are under absolutely no illusions as to the size of the task in front of us because they are going so well at the moment.
"We have had a few good results though so we can take that into the game with us; but even with that we know it will be an incredibly tough evening for us. We will give it our best shot though."
The two teams last met in the 2011 FA Cup final, a match which City won 1-0.
