Stoke City midfielder Rory Delap has admitted that his trademark long throws have not brought much success this season.
The 35-year-old has long been known for his ability to provide accurate throws into the opposing penalty area, but they could now be reportedly phased out ahead of next season.
"The throws haven't worked effectively this year. We've not had much joy from it. But it is not what the game's about and we've not got many goals from them. The stats show that," Delap told The Sun.
"I cannot remember how many we've got. Maybe one or two, possibly three, I think we got a couple in the cup. You can go 50 games and not get anything, it's just one of those things."
Stoke finished the Premier League season in 14th position.
