Manchester City face a potentially tough trip to Stoke City on Saturday as the Blues look to go top of the Premier League table.

With title rivals Manchester United not playing until Monday, a win for Roberto Mancini's side would see them regain top spot, at least temporarily.

However, they will come up against a Potters side who should be buoyed by their 1-1 draw at Tottenham Hotspur in midweek.

Carlos Tevez could again be on the bench for City following his cameo appearance in Wednesday's 2-1 win against Chelsea. Vincent Kompany has been ruled out of the match as he recovers from a hamstring injury.

Cameron Jerome may keep his place in attack after his goal against Spurs, while Matthew Etherington and Salif Diao are major doubts for Tony Pulis' side.

Current form:

Stoke: LLWWLD
Man City: WWWWLW

Possible lineups:

Stoke: Begovic; Huth, Shawcross, Wilkinson, Wilson; Pennant, Whelan, Whitehead, Walters, Jerome, Crouch

Man City: Hart; Richards, Kompany, K Toure, Clichy; Nasri, Barry, Y Toure, Silva; Aguero, Dzeko

Sports Mole says: 0-2
