Mark Hughes: 'Nothing drastic in January at Stoke City'

Mark Hughes is confident that he can keep his best Stoke City players in January and will only add to the squad if an "attractive" prospect arises.

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has said that there will be nothing "too drastic" happening at the club during next month's transfer window.

Hughes, speaking at his pre-match press conference ahead of the Boxing Day fixture against Manchester United, said that he had "healthy" squad at his disposal and that any additions would have to "enhance".

"We will certainly have a look at who is out there but there is certainly no urgency on our part to get anything done," Hughes told reporters.

"I have a good quality, healthy squad at my disposal so I don't foresee anything too drastic.

"Of course, if something crops up which is attractive to us then we will look to act, but it has to be somebody who will enhance us. We are looking now and we will have further discussions in the coming weeks I am sure."

Hughes also revealed that Geoff Cameron is likely to miss Stoke's upcoming matches against United on Saturday and Everton on Monday with a hamstring injury.
