Toronto, New England Revolution ends in stalemate

Toronto FC draw 1-1 with New England Revolution at BMO Field, Ontario.

Toronto FC have inched further clear of DC United at the bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference with a 1-1 draw at home to New England Revolution.

The visitors took the lead when Kelyn Rowe set up Diego Fagundez to tap home in the third minute of the game, but Andrew Wiedeman struck to restore parity just before half time.

Ryan Nelsen's men looked the more likely to score in the second half, but neither side could find a winner at BMO Field.

Three points would have seen the Revolution go level on points with Sporting Kansas City and New York Red Bulls, however they stay behind Philadelphia Union in fifth place.
