Chelsea are reportedly closing in on the signing of Boca Juniors defender Aaron Anselmino.

Despite having to ensure that they meet the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations on June 30, the Blues are seemingly relentless in their pursuit of new additions.

Tosin Adarabioyo has already signed on a free transfer, while the big-money addition of Palmeiras teenager Estevao Willian has been finalised for a 2025 move.

Aston Villa youngster Omari Kellyman is said to be on the brink of completing a shock switch to Stamford Bridge, with Ian Maatsen moving in the opposite direction.

Nottingham Forest have reportedly informed Chelsea what it will take to sign defender Murillo during the summer transfer window.

The Blues are expected to be busy over the coming days due to the need to ensure that they meet the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations.

Co-owners Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital have always maintained that they will comply with such rules, yet work is clearly being undertaken with Ian Maatsen said to be on the way to Aston Villa and Omari Kellyman surprisingly moving in the opposite direction.

As a result, there could be more movement in and out of Stamford Bridge before June 30, the final day for the latest accounts, but Forest also find themselves in a position where they must raise funds themselves.

Transfer news and rumours: Tomori to Newcastle, Diaby to Al-Nassr, Roca to Real Betis

Newcastle United have reportedly been told that they will have to come up with an offer of around £42m to sign AC Milan centre-back Fikayo Tomori during this summer's transfer window.

The Englishman is believed to be on Newcastle's radar this summer, with the Magpies keen to boost their defence for the 2024-25 campaign.

According to Tuttosport, Milan are open to letting Tomori depart but would be looking for around £42m for a player who has another three years left to run on his contract.

The 26-year-old came through the youth system at Chelsea before making the move to Milan in 2021, and he has represented the Italian giants on 142 occasions in all competitions.

Al-Hilal 'plotting' surprise move for Man United teenager

Manchester United may reportedly have to fend off interest from Alejandro Garnacho during the summer transfer window.

The current focus of the club's footballing operations team is to strengthen in several areas of the pitch, including at centre-back and down the middle of the attack.

That is a consequence of players such as Raphael Varane and Anthony Martial being released at the end of their contracts, while other squad members are expected to be sold.

As it stands, though, reports have indicated that United only have a limited transfer budget for the summer, hindering their efforts to sign the likes of Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite.

Isak to Chelsea latest as Blues given 'crazy' transfer demand

Chelsea are reportedly not actively pursuing a deal to sign Newcastle United's Alexander Isak due to the Magpies' mammoth price demands.

On Wednesday, it was reported that the Blues' search for attacking reinforcements had led them to the Sweden international, whom they had supposedly made an enquiry over.

Newcastle's Financial Fair Play situation means that they are under pressure to offload at least one big name before June 30, in order to avoid running the risk of breaching the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability rules.

However, the Magpies understandably regard Isak as a fundamental player after he struck 21 Premier League goals in 30 matches last season, only behind Erling Haaland (27) and Cole Palmer (22).

Coup of the summer? Como's Cesc Fabregas 'keen to sign' Man United defender

Cesc Fabregas is reportedly spearheading Como's charge to sign a Manchester United defender during the summer transfer window.

While the Spaniard is currently on punditry duty for Euro 2024, the former Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea midfielder has one eye on next season with Como.

For the first time in 21 years, I Lariani will be competing in Serie A after earning promotion from the second tier as runners-up.

Strengthening their squad ahead of 2024-25 us already underway with four players having loan deals converted into permanent moves.

Liverpool have been dealt an early blow in the pursuit of one of their defensive targets, who has reportedly decided to join Borussia Dortmund.

New Reds boss Arne Slot will see Joel Matip officially walk out of the door over the weekend when his contract expires, and he could be one of a handful of defenders on the move.

Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams - two heroes from the 2020-21 campaign - are likely to be sold too, while Sepp van den Berg has not been shy in confirming his desire to leave this summer.

The Reds will still have Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Jarell Quansah and Joe Gomez available at the back, but the former's deal runs out in 2025, and the latter's long-term future is not set in stone either.

Grealish replacement? Man City request 'information' on £50m-rated attacker

    © Reuters

Manchester City have reportedly touched base to enquire over a £50m-rated attacker who could succeed Jack Grealish at the Etihad.

Former Aston Villa star Grealish has failed to live up to his £100m price tag since joining the Citizens in the summer of 2021 and experienced another disappointing individual campaign in 2023-24.

The 28-year-old only contributed three goals and three assists from 36 appearances last term and also struggled with injury, factors that led to him being omitted from England's Euro 2024 squad.

Despite still being under contract with Pep Guardiola's side until the summer of 2027, an exit in the coming weeks has been mooted for Grealish, who is apparently open to exploring his options.
