James Morrison believes that West Bromwich Albion can surprise people by continuing their impressive start to the season.

James Morrison has insisted that West Bromwich Albion can prove their critics wrong and continue their impressive start to the Premier League season.

The Baggies comfortably beat Liverpool 3-0 on the opening day of the new campaign before claiming a draw away to Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.

Morrison believes that manager Steve Clarke can keep the squad on top of their game.

"Whoever has said things about our chances, what do they know? We will prove them wrong," the midfielder said. "We know we cannot get carried away, and we won't do that. We know there is a lot of hard work to do.

"Steve makes us train very hard, he gets the best out of us. His training is very good."

West Brom are currently fourth in the Premier League.
