West Bromwich Albion boss Alan Pardew hints that he could face the sack if his side loses against Huddersfield Town this weekend.

West Bromwich Albion manager Alan Pardew has hinted that he could be forced out of the club if they lose Saturday's relegation battle against fellow Premier League strugglers Huddersfield Town.

The Baggies head into the weekend bottom of the table, seven points behind the Terriers who occupy the nearest position of safety, and Pardew has insinuated that the club's hierarchy might send him packing if he loses the match.

"I've got a bag and I've half-packed," The Mirror quotes Pardew as saying.

"Antonio Conte summed it up this week when he said you've always got a bag packed in this job - mine is half-packed. But I don't want to leave the football club. I want to give it the best possible go I can.

"The spotlight does fall heavily on the manager, as Jose Mourinho has found out this week, and we're probably both hoping it's somebody else's turn next week."

West Brom are on a dismal run which includes just four wins in their last 39 league games, and only one victory in the last 25.
