Goalkeeper Ben Foster has insisted that manager Alan Irvine has the support of the entire West Bromwich Albion squad.
Saturday afternoon's 0-0 draw away at Hull City means that the Baggies have won just one of their last 10 outings in all competitions, which has resulted in criticism of Irvine from some supporters.
However, Foster has claimed that despite media reports having suggested that Irvine's days at The Hawthorns are numbered, the Scot has the full backing of his players.
"We are all battling for the gaffer. He is a great guy, we all really like him, we all get on well with him. You hear a few murmurings in the press and we are trying to pay no attention to it," the England international told the Express & Star
"We all want the gaffer to be here as long as possible. Saturday was not a classic but it is a start for us. On the back of four defeats, it was important to keep a clean sheet and then get something from the game."
West Brom are 16th in the Premier League, just one point better off than Hull in the final relegation place.
