West Bromwich Albion midfielder Steven Reid has admitted that the team is in a relegation battle this season.
The Baggies, who recently sacked manager Steve Clarke, are two points above the drop zone in the Premier League table heading into a busy Christmas schedule.
Their recent run has seen them lose four consecutive matches in the top flight.
"We can't feel sorry for ourselves," Reid told the Birmingham Mail. "We have the biggest few fixtures of our campaign - this period will define our season.
"Make no mistake about it, we are in it. We are in a relegation fight with other clubs and we can't forget that."
West Brom continue their fight for survival on Saturday when they welcome Hull City to The Hawthorns.
