Andy Carroll has been ruled out of England's squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Moldova and Ukraine.
The striker pulled up in the 67th minute of West Ham United's 3-0 win over Fulham with a hamstring injury.
Hammers boss Sam Allardyce had said that it was doubtful the 23-year-old would be fit in time to make Roy Hodgson's squad and those fears have now been confirmed by the Football Assosciation.
"Any decision on whether to call additional players into the squad will not be made until after the three fixtures on Sunday have been completed," read a statement on their official website.
Carroll has won seven caps for the Three Lions, scoring two goals.
