Cheikhou Kouyate has said that he has "adapted well" since joining West Ham United from Anderlecht last month.
The Senegal international made his first appearance for the Hammers during their 2-2 pre-season friendly draw with Stevenage yesterday.
The midfielder told the club's website: "I've adapted well. The team has really welcomed me and the players have been extremely kind. That's great and has helped me fit in.
"That's what I was expecting, but I wasn't expecting it to happen so quickly. From my very first day at West Ham, they have all been behind me.
"[Mohamed] Diame told me 'You're going to love the fans. It's mad! They're truly amazing'. And there you go, even for a pre-season game, I see that they're all there and supporting us. I'm sure it's going to be even better in the Premier League. Momo was absolutely spot on!"
West Ham will play Ipswich Town on Wednesday.
