Harry Redknapp: 'West Ham United should forget about Eddie Howe'

Former West Ham United boss Harry Redknapp says that the Hammers should forget about attempting to lure Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe to the club.

Former West Ham United boss Harry Redknapp has told his old club that they should forget about trying to lure Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe to Upton Park.

The Hammers have been linked with a host of managers since parting ways with Sam Allardyce last week, including Rafael Benitez and Slaven Bilic.

Howe is also among the names touted with a move to East London after guiding Bournemouth into the Premier League this season, but Redknapp, who played for and managed West Ham during his career, says that there is no chance of the 37-year-old leaving the South Coast.

"I was at the [League Managers' Association] dinner and there's some good lads [around]," Redknapp told talkSPORT.

"They're not going to get Eddie Howe out of Bournemouth."

Next season will be Bournemouth's first ever campaign in the top flight of English football.
